i dunno if i should put this under Fanart.. but it couldve been any paint mustang eh?
i saw the movie 2 days ago and it just kept nagging in my head. I had to Draw One!
So here we go.. one Hidalgo watching over the herd. its just a quick drawing, but cant call it sketch anymore. just a few hours and experimentation with my white paint marker thing...tricky thing that wont dry. its all over my scanner now ^_~.

anyways Feedback is Welcome! hope you like it.

haha the movie is called after the horse
its about a horse race of 4000 miles in the arabian deserts in about 1890's. Hidalgo and Frank Hopkins were like living legends back than coz he never lost a race ( coughs 400 they said). blah blah blah hehe i liked it ^_^ it has Omar Sharif and viggo Mortensen in it.

The scenery as well as how its boxed in is nice, hidelgo's head looks almost human like and not as much horse like. That could just be me, aside from that a wonderfully done picture as always in regards to perspective and movement. Great job

*gasp* It's gorgeous! :+fav: for sure! The head might be a bit too .... far from the neck (or something) it needs to be closer to the bend in the neck I think.. but other than that the detail is amazing, and I like the horse kinda looking at Hidalgo as if seeing if he was coming. Also, did you notice in the movie when Hidalgo is set free he still has his shoes on?? When we saw it (we're total horse people) we were all like wtf!? he still has his shoes on!!!!!
